An informative and enjoyable day with Dr Lana Martin will empower you with the tools to overcome your stressors, and help you to understand how to manage them effectively in order to ensure balance, harmony and calm in your day to day life! A recent survey published in a national newspaper -estimates that our country is losing around R12 billion a year due to staff absenteeism!

  • The physiological chemistry of stress on the body, and how this affects neurochemistry
The purpose of stress management and the importance of its role in the management of your organisation
1 HrThis starts with a wonderful session with Dr Lana Martin where she will coach you through a BODYBALANCE™ class. This is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
This sets the calm space for the day's learning
30minsA break for a revitalising "Blast Off" Smoothie From Ille De Pain. A high energy drink with seed and nut truffles
1 HrA talk about the importance of sleep, and how to create the best environment to facilitate it
45minsA break for lunch. We will spoil you with a delicious yet healthy lunch to support concentration and focus
2 HrsA comparative overview of what is currently available in the market place for the management and short term treatment of stress and their efficacy. Demonstration on how to mix your own simple gels, creams and oils for self massage for relaxation and stress release, as well as safe techniques on how to massage a partner. This will be followed by "hands on" practice on yourselves or each other on hands, feet or face

    We will whet your appetite for Healthy Living by giving you a taste of the best meals and snacks to allow you to think clearly, concentrate and enjoy a fun way to relieve you of your stress.
